About Mynx London

In 2019, whilst studying Business at Kingston University, I knew that I wanted to become my own boss. So, I took a leap of faith and decided to turn my dream into a reality.

I was working full-time as a delivery driver as well as studying full-time at university, I knew that I wanted my own business but, I didn't feel like I had the time as I was so focused on work and university. I was let go from my delivery job, which was a blessing in disguise as it gave me the push I needed to start my own business. I decided to enrol onto an Eyelash Extensions Course which I completed in March 2019. After months of practice, I set up my business in May 2019 as Tia Maria Studios. Later that year, I also decided to do a Nail Extension course and a Makeup course and began offering those services too.

In June 2020, I rebranded the business to Afterglow Beauty, which didn’t stick around for long, as I decided to change the name again to Mynx London in September 2020.

​

I continued to build my clientele and began introducing products. I fell pregnant in January 2021, and even though I was pregnant, I had my busiest year yet! I built amazing relationships and had so many loyal clients.

​

I had my daughter in October 2021 so, I was on maternity leave for the next 8 months. I began to slowly take clients on with my daughter to see if I would be able too look after a baby whilst providing a great service and after many many MANY clients, it started to get easier! I worked around my daughters schedule and managed to maintain my business.

 

In December 2022, after months of working past midnight, I decided to do an Aesthetics Course. I received 24 qualifications and I am so excited for this next chapter and hope you will join me on my journey.

In May 2023, I qualified as an educator and launched my Eyelash Extension Courses in June 2023. My courses became ABT accredited and I also became a LashBase Affiliate Training Provider. Since then, I have worked hard to provide the best beauty training courses to help me students get a head start in their new business ventures.
