What Is a Vampire Facial?

The Vampire Facial is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that helps to achieve younger, brighter looking skin. The Vampire Facial, also known as microneedling with PRP, involves drawing blood from your arm, separating platelets and applying them back onto the skin.

What are the benefits?

There are many benefits to the Vampire Facial, including tighter and firmer skin, improved skin tone and texture, improved moisture retention, reduced wrinkles and lines and lasting results. This treatment can be especially helpful for those who suffered from acne and have visible acne scars or skin damage from prolonged exposure to the sun.

Can I have the treatment?

Vampire Facials are not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, anyone under the age of 18, anyone who is on particular medication, anyone who is suffering from cancer or other diseases and anyone who is HIV positive.

Not everyone is suitable for PRP Therapy. In order to provide this service, we must take bloods from you. We are only legally allowed to try taking blood three times per session and if there is still no result, we must stop. If we are unable to draw blood, you will be offered a Microneedling session instead. You are able to come back in the future to try again.

How Can I Prepare For My Appointment?

Please arrive to your vampire facial appointment with a clean, makeup and product-free face. Protect your face from tanning or sun exposure a few weeks before your appointment. Avoid anti-inflammatory medications, such as aspirin or ibuprofen for 7 days before your appointment. Avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Aftercare Advice

  • Do not touch your skin for at least 6 hours. Allow the serum to remain on your skin so it can continue to work.

  • Rinse your face after 24 hours with lukewarm water, but avoid using any cleansers. Wash your hands with soap before touching the skin. Gently pat dry taking special care not to rub the skin.

  • The skin may be firmer than usual but, over the next few days and up to 2 weeks, it will soften and regain a smooth feel.

  • While the discomfort should settle within 24 hours, if you continue to feel pain, take a Paracetamol. Do not take anti-inflammatory medication such as aspirin or ibuprofen.

  • Use an ice pack to calm the swelling, place a clean cloth between the pack and your skin at 5-minute intervals.

  • For the next 2 days, sleep on your back with your head elevated.

  • Do not use any exfoliants or other harsh agents on your skin for at least 72 hours. You can use hyaluronic acid to moisturise the skin.

  • After 72 hours, wear SPF 50+ when in direct sunlight.

  • Avoid facials / sun beds / chemical peels / laser resurfacing for 14 days.
